Review: Heartless

Heartless Heartless by Elsie Silver
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 stars)

First off let me say OMG I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK!

Heartless by Elsie Silver completely stole my heart—this book was EVERYTHING I wanted and more. I devoured it in a single day, unable to put it down from the moment I started.

Cade and Willa’s story pulled me in instantly, and I was hooked on every page, every glance, every bit of banter and slow-burning tension between them!!

Cade is the brooding single dad with a heart of GOLD you can’t help but fall for, and Willa is pure sunshine—spunky, bold, and full of life. Together, they were absolutely adorable and so well-matched. Their chemistry WAS SO ELECTRIC but what really made me fall in love with them was how deeply they connected on an emotional level. The way they learned to trust and open up to each other felt so real and raw.

The pacing was PERFECT—never a dull moment—and I appreciated that their romance wasn’t rushed. Watching them grow together, overcome fears, and fall helplessly in love was beautiful. I’m so glad the story ended the way it did; it felt right AND so deeply satisfying. I found myself balling my eyes out when I finished the last page—not because I was sad, but because it was such a beautiful, emotional ride and I wasn’t ready to leave these characters behind!!

This book is a NEW all-time FAVORITE, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re a fan of small-town romance, grumpy/sunshine dynamics, or just a beautifully told love story, Heartless is a must-read.

A Letter to You, My Uncle Ben

Dear Uncle Ben, How are you doing? How's the food in heaven? Have you made any friends? These are all kinds of questions I have stuck in my mind lately. I am still trying to grasp the concept of grief. I still can’t wrap around my head and accept that you are no longer here with us. I feel like my whole world has been shattered into a million pieces. It kills me inside knowing you will never walk through that door at a family gathering or that you will never be at holidays. You were a huge part of our family and still are. I hope up in heaven you have gotten to see and know my kids. Everyday that passes it shatters me emotionally that you never got to meet my girls. I wanted them to have the Uncle Ben that I had growing up. Seeing my Uncle Ben was always the highlight of gatherings. You made things so magical and fun for me growing up. You have made a HUGE impact on my world and you probably don’t even realize it. To this day, I remember perfectly you tricking me thinking Grand...
